Senior Engagement Lead

Circa £70,000 + benefits

Permanent

Full time (35 hours per week)

Remote (UK based)*

The role


As a Senior Engagement Lead, you will lead all UK regional engagement teams to drive growth in networks, communities and membership. You will deliver against UK Market Strategy, increasing CIPD reach, impact and voice by designing and delivering impactful engagement plans across various customer and stakeholder groups. You will build and develop a regional engagement model that enables us to deliver a consistent experience across key customer groups; providing a closer proximity to customer needs and insights across the UK.


*This role requires travel across the UK, with occasional trips to our London office.

What you’ll be doing


  • Identifying opportunities and leading on the community and engagement activities by facilitating regional networks, forums and events.
  • Innovating the regional engagement model and coordination with branches to enhance routes to market and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Executing regional and local engagement strategy and plans that align to UK Market key priorities to engage, retain and grow membership and reach into the profession.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase membership engagement and retention among targeted local education centres, exploring opportunities for student acquisition and engagement through collaborative initiatives with local branches.
  • Developing a UK Student engagement plan that weaves through regional and local engagement to increase retention.
  • Managing UK regional budget for community engagement, events and networking.
  • Leading, managing and developing a high performing team. Developing a collaborative, customer first and growth mindset.
  • Monitoring and analysing KPIs like network participation, product referrals and organisation referrals.
  • Supporting delivery against commercial revenue targets; identifying income generation opportunities and driving membership growth.
  • Acting as brand ambassador and champion the CIPD’s voice across all networks and stakeholder groups internally and externally.


What you’ll need to be successful


  • Proven track record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Evidence of proactively developing partnerships and demonstrating excellent negotiation and relationship management capability.
  • Exceptional people management and leadership experience; the ability to develop and nurture high performing teams, responding to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in budget management and project management; ability to tightly control cost and spend, reporting regularly on budget against projects and activity.
  • Robust understanding of UK market, the people profession and how CIPD can increase reach, impact and delivery across key customer groups.
  • Experience of working in a cross-matrix organisation and leveraging teams to deliver a holistic customer experience.
  • Commercially astute with experience of delivering against membership growth targets.
  • Highly credible communicator with the ability to build profile, articulate complex concepts and engage audiences.
  • An active network within the HR, people management and business communities.
  • Engaging and energetic approach to influence others and act as a true ambassador.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to deliver within tight deadlines and the capacity to manage the workload with conflicting demands, including the demands of a substantial volunteer network.
