Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies and solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to align business objectives with scalable, secure, and innovative architectural frameworks. This role involves shaping the strategic technical direction, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and driving transformation across the organization in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver enterprise architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology frameworks.
- Develop scalable and modular solutions to support digital transformation initiatives and operational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define architectural roadmaps, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Drive the adoption of open standards and ensure interoperability across enterprise systems.
- Establish and mature scalable and flexible governance frameworks for enterprise architecture.
- Coordinate architectural outputs across teams and influence architecture across wider governmental or equivalent bodies.
- Lead the design and delivery of integrated solutions, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance to development teams and architects.
- Define transition architectures and ensure coherence with digital transformation programs.
- Develop governance and compliance frameworks to meet regulatory and security standards.
- Influence and liaise with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to build consensus and drive initiatives.
- Ensure domain-specific expertise in addressing complexities in environments such as maritime, defence, or equivalent domains.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practitioner-level certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and ArchiMate.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Senior Enterprise Architect, delivering large-scale transformations in government or equivalent programs.
- Expertise in modular approaches to system design and development.
- Strong knowledge of governance models, particularly federated architecture governance.
- Proficiency in defining and implementing open standards to ensure interoperability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexities in fixed and deployed environments within specialized domains.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mediate between technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and mentoring capabilities.
