Technical expert on the HW solutions
- Define and implement the testing and acceptance process of the Hardware solution during the project delivery phase
- Contribute to the hardware solution qualification within the BL offers : Border & Travel (eGates & kiosks), Civil Identity (enrolment & authentication components) & issuance machines.
- Industrialization role for selected specific hardware, from the specification redaction to the final qualification.
- Manage corrective and improvement action plans with hardware supplier during projects delivery and in case of crisis situation
- Set-up Technical support schemes with hardware suppliers
Contribution to Pre-Sales :
- Validate the Hardware technical offer with the Bid team in relationship with projects (except IT) and Solution Managers. : mandatory for critical & B2 projects, on demand for the other ones
Support the P&S project teams as Hardware Work Package Manager:
- On some specific projects, he is responsible for the planning and deliverables of the HW solution Work Package, under the direction of the Project Manager. Conducts all work package activities (including those relating to risks and opportunities) and is responsible for the scope and commitments of his/her Work Package and its delivery according to the planned project deliverables in date, cost and quality.
- Performs this role from authorization to start until closure of the work package for all aspects of the work package including organization, scheduling, effort, budget (costs), etc.
- issuing the HW specification and design documentation and configuration management
- managing the FAT (Factory acceptance) and SAT (Site acceptance)
- Manage / supervise prototype and first batch delivery and installation
- Can act as Site Manager : Site Surveys and installation supervision
- HW supplier follow-up : Audit, Production, Quality, Leadtime
- Manage logistic flows for HW components
- Manage the training for installation with the support of the HW supplier
- Interact with HW R&D, Product line manager, HW SME, HW supplier
- Education:
- Engineer or Master’s Degree in Mechanic, or Electro mechanic
