As a Senior Legal Counsel (Disclosure) Public Inquiry you will join us on our journey and undertake a truly valuable and highly visible role responsible for all legal work relating to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry but with a specific focus on disclosure. The post holder will work alongside other Senior Legal Counsel and be supported by Legal Counsel and paralegals.
Working collaboratively with the Post Offices external legal advisers in ensuring the provision of legal advice to Post Office on its disclosure obligations to the Inquiry and how to comply with them. This will include oversight of the management of document discovery and review processes by external lawyers and e-discovery providers. In doing so, the post holder will also work closely with other lawyers in the in-house team in supporting their work in advising on preparatory work for the Inquiry phases of work, supporting the handling of Rule 9 requests from the Inquiry, the management of discovery and disclosure processes and reporting to the business. The role will also require engagement with senior business stakeholders.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an Experienced qualified solicitor or barrister in an in-house role or in private practice who ideally understands public law and ideally experience working on public inquires/ contentious matters.
