Are you an operational excellence expert with experience in continuous improvement and change? We need you! As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you’ll play a key role across AXA Commercial to build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, working with Leaders, Team Leads and front-line staff across the business to drive process efficiency improvements and deliver improved customer and broker experiences.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support AXA Commercial to prioritise and deliver improvement activity to support the overall strategic direction through hands on delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders across AXA Commercial to create, deliver and maintain process improvement plans, ensuring consistency across teams.
- Use a methodical and data driven approach to quantify business problems, ensuring to track and measure benefits delivered through OpEx activity.
- Work with operational teams across AXA Commercial to embed a culture of continuous improvement and solving together.
- Empower individuals to improve their own processes within an agreed framework of change.
- Work with stakeholders using OpEx techniques to review our end to end customer journeys, identifying improvements to broker experience, reduce risk and create more efficient ways of working.
- Coach and mentor teams and individuals across AXA Commercial to upskill the organisation in ways of working within OpEx.
- Work with UKI to drive best practice across AXA Commercial.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in an operational excellence, continuous improvement or change role.
- Ability to communicate to people at all levels and collaborate.
- Self-motivated, good at influencing, networking ability, with the ability to understand your audience and what they need.
- Skilled in working under pressure, meet deadlines and exceed targets.
- High level of initiative and superbly organised.
- Curious mindset and courage to question or challenge where needed.
- Integrity, value discretion and have sound judgement.
- Excellent skill in writing documents such as papers, briefing notes, and communications.
- Good understanding of the AXA Group, and how decisions are made in a complex organisation would be advantageous.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
