Purpose of the job
Have the ability to layout equipment and wire components using schematic drawings, working to company process standards and operating procedures to a high level in one of either Bench Assembly, LV or MV switchgear.
Key accountabilities
- Mark out, drill and fit equipment to layouts.
- Must be able to read schematic drawings and identify components.
- Be competent at stripping and crimping cables from 0.75mm to 120mm.
- Be competent to torque power connections.
- Loom wiring in a uniformed manner.
- Work to instructions.
- Work to process standards and operating procedures.
- Capable of highlighting potential issues and suggesting rational corrective/preventative actions.
- Capable and willing to transfer skills and knowledge to colleagues.
- Responsible for achieving required output including productivity, Quality and attendance.

- The ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and written communication that delivers high levels of confidence in those dealt with.
- A strong technical background.

Employment & Educational Background
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of electrical control panel wiring.
- Internal candidates should be at least level 3 in all the electrical wiring areas of the relevant area’s training matrix.
