As Senior Partner in the Laurencekirk Agency you’ll have the opportunity to run and develop an existing business in partnership with the current Agent.

Highly respected within the local business community, our Laurencekirk Agency provides a solid foundation for you to build on. Well known locally, the agency has a loyal customer base and provides services to an attractive mix of farming and non-farming businesses.

Building on the success of the agency you’ll have the opportunity to drive business growth beyond the core farming book, tapping into a range of non-farming SMEs and Commercial enterprises. Working within this highly supportive, loyal and active NFU Scotland branch you’ll find plenty of growth potential.

Whether you’re out in a field talking to a local farmer or sitting with the CEO across a boardroom table, you’ll know how to win their confidence through an appreciation of their diverse issues, offering tailored expert advice.

An excellent communicator, you’re great with people from a wide range of backgrounds and can easily spot opportunities and develop new business. A strong and professional leader, you’re a confident influencer who’s used to motivating a team.

Collaborative, positive and supportive, you know how to recruit, reward and develop a strong team to help you achieve your ambitions whilst ensuring all relevant regulations and standards of compliance are met.

You may have knowledge of insurance or finance, but as our existing Agents come from a broad range of backgrounds, it’s more important that you know how to use your entrepreneurial flair and clear vision to grow your business.

Combining your duties as a Group Secretary of NFUS with your work as an Agent of NFU Mutual, you’ll play a major role in the local farming community. You’ll be actively championing local farmers’ interests, arranging local meetings and events, recruiting and retaining members and keeping them up to date on union policy. The roles are intrinsically linked.
