Manages and coordinates a range of PMO and project controls services to support designated projects within the PMO and planning centre of excellence.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Directing and managing application of specific project controls methods, techniques and tools with a good working knowledge of a variety of techniques on a range of project and programme complexity.
- Directing and managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and responsible for staff development.
- Being able to evaluate trends and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment using numerical and statistical techniques as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Leading application of specific project controls methods, techniques and tools.
- Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
- Advising on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
- Managing projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
- Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
- Leading and managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and responsible for staff development.
- Managing assistant managers & managers where required by the scale of the project.

- Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations.

You’ll Need To Have
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Articulate and has potential to assimilate information quickly.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience of working on construction projects and/or consultancy.
- Experience of delivering effective PMO and project controls/assurance frameworks/strategies.
- Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques and software (e.g. MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive).
- An interest in data analytics.
- Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy.
- Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals)
- Good interpersonal skills and potential ability to form effective working relationships.
- Effectively collaborates with others.
- Ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience.
- Seeks to continuously improve.
- Creating and delivering clear and professional presentations to project teams/clients.
