The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic transformation team, driving change and innovation every day. You'll be supporting vital MILSATCOM (military satellite communication) systems one day and pioneering new technologies the next. Your work will be instrumental in shaping the future of satellite communication systems within the defence sector. Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Lead the change and co-ordination of an integrated project delivery team ensuring the successful delivery of projects through planning monitoring and control in an INCOSE Systems Engineering environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Lead the project to deliver world class performance by driving continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Experience Of The Skynet Senior Project Manager
- Contract change process, and developing proposal responses to change requests
- Considerable experience in the advanced application of Project Management techniques in a relevant technical project environment
- Previous experience on a complex defence and telecommunication projects / programmes, preferably MILSATCOM
- Technical work package experience in areas such as site, FM and IT – desirable
