Senior Quality Engineer to join the Quality team working on Days. Responsible for supporting the quality performance of the site and monitoring all operations processes for effective execution, maintaining quality documentation, records and procedures ensuring they can be retrieved as required.
Key Duties
- Co-ordinate and lead change management process, ensuring all changes meet internal and external quality requirements
- Collate and follow up on actions and responses needed to process changes
- Verifying implementation and effectiveness of planned actions
- Working with NPI team to ensure that PPAP documentation is correctly completed and reported.
- Organising internal/external measurements as necessary to validate PPAPs.
- Supporting Engineering teams with SPC review and analysis to identify and affect process improvements
- Supporting Engineering with root cause analysis and corrective action planning as part of non-conforming material handling (LRB) processes
- Reporting internally on process quality performance metrics.
- Supporting MSA and Calibration activities in conjunction with other departments.
- Facilitate FMEA creation and support updating of FMEA data into E1NS FMEA database
- Assist Operations with 5S/Gemba activities to maintain Lean working standards.

Required
- at least 5 years' experience within Quality Assurance (2-7 years’)
- Computer literacy, MS Office package.
- Qualified Third Party Lead Auditor in an automotive Quality Standard – VDA 6.3 preferred, IATF16949 minimum (Lead auditor to ISO 9001 minimum, IATF preferred)
- Experience in automotive core tools and in-depth working knowledge of SPC, MSA, Practical Problem solving (e.g. 8D/DMAIC) and Root Cause Analysis tools (minimum experience using 8D/CAR and Project Management/NPI)
- Methodical, well-organised with ability to multitask and prioritise activities to work autonomously.
- Mentoring/development approach
- Highly motivated, results and customer service orientated and good communication skills.
- Accurate and effective data presentation skills
- Operational or manufacturing experience from semiconductors (ideal) or other regulated industry e.g. aerospace, medical, automotive.
- Degree-level Engineering Qualification (or equivalent in related field e.g. manufacturing/physics/chemistry) with experience in Quality Management
