We're looking for a
Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources Team working on our Severn Trent framework. With the option to work from home you'll also need to visit our Severn Trent sites with the main focus being Wanlip in Leicestershire.
Location: Working from home and reporting to the Solihull office, with travel across the midlands
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
As a
Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Natural Resources team supporting them in managing the commercial aspects of schemes between £5m-£20m in value on both clean and dirty water treatment plants. These projects are of a civils / MEICA nature, looking at upgrade and resilience works of these established sites. The initial focus will be supporting delivery of ECI phase 2 and the development and upgrades of a wastewater treatment work site with packages in value of circa £100-£125m.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Managing the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
- Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
- Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
- Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

- You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Experience working with complex civil projects, within the water or a transferable process orientated industry
