Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements gathering and analysis via workshopping, interviewing and prototyping.
  • Business process modelling, analysing business needs, modelling system data.
  • Evaluating options, defining requirements, gap analysis and improving/creating business processes.
  • Technical solution design alongside and supporting the development teams.
  • Stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining strong relationships and communicating effectively and consistently.
  • Developing and managing project timelines, identifying risks to the timeline and designing and implementing mitigations to ensure timely delivery.
  • Developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality of deliverables, complying with industry standards and best practices.


Key Outputs and Deliverables

  • Conduct impact analysis of proposed work and prioritize the work stack accordingly.
  • Establish functional, non-functional, data, and usability requirements and business rules with key business stakeholders.
  • Model and document requirements, then translate them into work items in the required structure for development teams to progress.
  • Develop delivery plans and communicate with customers at key stage gates.
  • Define acceptance criteria with the Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Perform options appraisals where workflow analysis leads to multiple possible strategies for facilitating business processes.
  • Clearly define the scope of changes, identifying and prioritising new requirements or change requests as they arise throughout the project.
  • Support business stakeholders and the testing team during user acceptance testing and rollout.
  • Ensure quality assurance and maintain key requirements documents and specifications.


Person specification

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience in requirements analysis and process definition in a digital, data and technology environment. (Lead criteria)
  • Experience in delivery management or project management. (Lead criteria)
  • Experience in successfully managing and implementing change.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for business performance improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to clarify needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of consequences while focusing on user and business needs.


Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working with Azure tech stack OR experience working with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Formal qualification in Business Analysis such as BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
