About The Role
Reporting into the Multiplatform Editor, you’ll create content across the brand’s core pillars but with a more concentrated focus on digital fitness content. Being led by the Multiplatform Editor and task managed by the Fitness Director, you’ll use data to inform your content planning to create best in class content that drives traffic and engagement to exceed KPIs. You will also write for the magazine when required helping Men's Health remain the market- leading wellness publication for men in the UK. This role will be key to the brand’s membership offering and will help the Membership Content Editor with event logistics and will create the weekly membership newsletter.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll create content across all content pillars with a focus on digital fitness content.
- Working alongside MH’s Fitness Director, you’ll ensure the fitness offering is market-leading, solidifying the brand’s reputation as a leader in wellness publishing.
- You’ll have an indepth knowledge of fitness and instinctively know what MH’s audience want to read about.
- But you’ll still rely on data to inform your content and to exceed brand KPIs. Having knowledge of using analytics is essential.
- You’ll have experience of writing long and shortform articles for print and digital, including SEO.
- You’ll contribute to planning meetings and be bursting with ideas.
- You’ll assit the Membership Content Editor with membership content and supplementary moments, such as members’ events when required.
- You’ll create the brand’s weekly membership newsletter ensuring it’s a must-read piece of content that actively supports and enhances the membership offering.
- You’ll have your finger on the pulse of the UK’s wellness scene with an enviable contacts book of fitness and health professionals and PRs.
- You’ll be an ambassador for the MH brand, attending product launches, workout classes and commercial events where appropriate.
- You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.
- You’ll be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
About You
- Knowledge and understanding of MH’s key content pillars with a particular focus on fitness is essential
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK health and wellness market is essential
- Experience of writing long and short form articles for print and digital is essential
- Knowledge of digital content creation systems is essential
- Knowledge of using data to inform content and engagement is essential
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders is essential
- Being highly organised, can multi-task and remain calm under pressure while maintaining the highest level of accuracy is essential
- Previous experience of working on a consumer publishing brand is desirable
- A personal training qualification is desirable
