What's the role?
The Settlements Coordinator is a key role in the Agent Services department. The role holder is responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of data that is exchanged between relevant Settlement Industry stakeholders.
Working in a fast-paced environment, the Settlements Coordinator manages exceptions in Industry Data Flows. Attention to detail and an analytical mind allows interpretation of data to facilitate problem solving on wide ranging issues.
The accuracy of data is key in achieving the UK Governments Net Zero strategy and as a Settlements Coordinator, you are working to facilitate data availability for Stakeholders to manage Energy as efficiently as possible.
This role is essential in maintaining SMS’s compliance to Industry standards, upholding a high quality of service for our customers, and embodying our culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Data Flow Exceptions within Industry Standard SLAs alongside Customer contractual obligations.
- Providing technical and administrative support.
- Reporting on performance, exceptions, and resolutions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with SMS’s customer and third-party agents.
- Working with the technical team to implement changes in systems and processes in line with SMS’s culture of continuous improvements.
- Any other duties as required.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- GSCE's (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly excel.
- Excellent numerical reasoning and pattern recognition.
- The ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
- The ability to work to and achieve deadlines.
- The ability to work individually and as part of a wider team.
- Excellent problem solving skills, confident at finding solutions to challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Experience in the Electricity Metering industry and/or Data industry knowledge (advantageous).
