We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our team as part of the Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF) for the Environment Agency.
Location: Bridgwater with travel across the Southwest. Occasional working from home with regular travel to the office (car allowance will be included in package).
Contract: Permanent - Full Time.
What will you be responsible for?
In this role you will ensure that the highest possible standards of Safety, Health and Environmental responsibility are implemented across the business and we achieve full compliance against all legal requirements.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Promote Safety, Health and Environmental aspects leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities.
- Provide timely and affective operational SHE support and advice to the business unit.
- Assist the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Support the operational teams in developing and reviews RAMS.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable experience within the construction/Infrastructure industry with a minimum of NEBOSH construction certificate, hold or working towards NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety
- Previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation,
- Ability to work on own initiative and good time management skills and a positive, hands-on approach and be fully conversant with IT.
- Full clean driving licence as the work involves travel to different sites.
