We are currently seeking a Pick Manager at our Holmewood site in Chesterfield. To supervise and manage the pick operation, as well as working with leadership to make sure our company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.
The role
In this role you will:
- Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Plan schedules and resource allocation for completion of job assignments.
- Track and send reports to designated site personnel.
- Track warehouse activities including sales and record control, to ensure availability of products.
- Ensure accidents are investigated according to the company’s accident investigation procedures.
- Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation.
- You will be working in a large freezer environment of -20 degrees but you will be provided with all of the personal protective clothing to keep you warm.
- Be a point of contact for a large customer and build good customer relationships.
Who we're looking for:
- Someone who has previous experience within a similar warehouse management or supervisory position responsible for managing around 40 employees.
- A person who has worked with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Voiteq experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
- Be a champion for employee engagement.
- Have at least 2 years of management experience.
