Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are searching for a company secretary to support a client for 6 months in early 2025.

Day to day duties will include but are no limited to:

  • Board support: arranging and planning board meetings, agendas and minutes, proactively ensuring that quarterly reports are distributed and arranging follow up actions and meetings as appropriate.
  • Governance and statutory compliance: maintaining registers of group entities, overseeing Companies House filings and transaction support as required
  • Financial statements: working closely with the Finance team to schedule board meetings and draft and circulate resolutions, timely filing of financial statements and responding to auditor queries.


This assignment is 4 or 5 days a week with a minimum of 3 days attendance to the London office.

Person specification:

  • You are a qualified company secretary or solicitor with 5 years of company secretarial or corporate experience.
  • Strong experience with running board meetings and writing minutes.
  • Financial Services experience is highly desired, especially within a Funds / PE environment.
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner.
  • You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines.
  • You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
  • You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
