We’re looking for a Site Manager who can juggle multiple internal works packages without breaking a sweat and isn't fazed by sudden changes or challenging deadlines, to join our Friary Park scheme in Acton. It's a three phase scheme where we're in joint venture with Peabody delivering more than a thousand homes. This will be a 12-month FTC with a potential to go permanent afterwards.
In this role you'll be managing a block comprising of 91 units, across 17 storeys, overseeing the full process, from completion of the frame, through first fix and all the way to handover. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Kieran, you'll be the driving force behind our subcontractors and consultants, ensuring they not only meet but exceed our lofty expectations, both in terms of programme and budget. You’ll be a stickler for attention to detail and have extensive experience in managing everything from 1st fix through to 2nd fix and completion. Knowledge of drylining, MEP, carpentry, firestopping and light safety systems is ideal.
We’ve built a reputation as a trusted developer, first-class JV partner and business full of decent people who want the best for London and Londoners. We take a lot of pride in our culture, and we have won many awards ranging from; Sunday Times Best company consecutively for 11 years, to Mind workplace wellbeing award, to Staff development and training at the women in construction awards and Top 75 best companies to work for in London.
Friary Park is a special project – a long-term estate transformation where you’re part of the community. From a cutting-edge Peloton gym to podium gardens, community kitchens, business lounge and concierge. And let's not forget about our site office - it's not your run-of-the-mill portacabin. We've decked it out with plush sofas, the same kitchen our customers enjoy and even a dedicated games area with a full dart oche and putting green.
Ours is a high-performance culture. High performance in this role means working at pace whilst treating people decently and building real relationships across the internal teams and multiple trades. When it comes to Pursuing Better, Differently, this is a place where “that’ll do” will never do. And in our unique culture, the goal is a drama-free environment. One team, rolling their sleeves up in order to win and building unbelievable levels of trust and openness via revealing, not concealing.
This is a culture where you’ll be giving and getting feedback from day one, because we think it’s the fastest way to learn and to build trust. We want to be challenged by you, too – we hate unnecessary hierarchy and “my way or the highway” has no place here.
So, if you're task-focused, a master multi-tasker, and love a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
