Job Purpose
An exciting position has become available to join the talented Tokio Marine HCC International Solvency II Reporting team and contribute to the exceptional performance of our business. Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Legal Entity Reporting, this role will focus on the production of Solvency II Pillar 3 reporting for Tokio Marine Legal Entities and Group. This will include completing Quarterly and Annual Reporting Templates, the SFCR and calculation of Standard Formula.

Key Responsibilities
- Reporting
- Coordinate with stakeholders and prepare Solvency II deliverables for submission to the PRA and the CAA (including QRTs, SFCRs, and half year and annual Standard Formula calculations), working with wider TMHCC teams including Syndicate team, Finance Operations, FP&A, Tax, Group Risk and Actuarial ensuring consistency across all information presented across the business
- Prepare and provide insight into regulatory review packs, CFO performance reports and approval memorandums for presentation to senior management at regulatory committees.
- Lead the production of the SFCR for all entities including managing the SFCR timetable and external audit process.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise the team and management on impact on regulatory reporting.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of the quality of Solvency II Pillar 3 Reporting templates and the timeliness of deliverables to meet submission deadlines.
- Assist with the quarterly Solvency II Forecasting process including the review of inputs, assumptions and presentation of findings to senior team members.
Finance change/transformation
- Contribute to the wider finance and business change initiatives by identifying areas for improvement, performing data quality checks and reconciling data.
- Streamline and automate finance processes, leveraging technology enablers
- Support the change control and execution of the end user testing of Solvency II reporting systems.
- Support the continuous development of the Solvency II DataMart.
- Support the Deputy Head of Legal Entity Reporting on strategic projects as required.
Teamwork and Relationship Management
- Provide support to junior team members.
- Develop strong relationships with managers from various departments across Finance and European Operations in order to obtain the appropriate information required.
Other
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Ad-hoc reporting work as required
Performance Objectives
Complete the preparation of Q3 solvency II Quantitative Reporting Templates for submission to the PRA and CAA, ensuring that all large movements in the quarter are validated and understood.
Complete the Q3 SII regulatory update
Develop a good understanding of TMHCC’s business with the goal of understanding how the various lines of business are reported under Solvency II.
Complete all onboarding training by the set deadlines.
Develop good working relationships with the Solvency II team and the wider finance and actuarial teams.

- Understanding of Insurance business and Solvency II regulations including application to capital requirements
- Attention to detail and strong planning and organisational skills
- Strong ability to clearly communicate and influence key stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Highly technical in accountancy skills, especially UK GAAP and IFRS
- General commercial and financial knowledge
- Strong team working skills
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
Desirable
- Professional qualification (ACA or equivalent)
- Experience in finance transformation projects/system change
- Experience in reporting writing and preparing powerpoint slides for committee presentations
- Tagetik, SII DataMart, Peoplesoft experience
