Locum Sonographer (Obstetrics)

Rate £50 p/h

As an Obstetric and Gynaecology Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound services to pregnant patients. Your expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology scans will contribute significantly to patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound scans for obstetric and gynaecology cases.
• Generate accurate and timely reports, ensuring seamless communication with the clinical team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient pathways and referrals.
• Support training initiatives for junior sonographers.
• Engage in departmental research and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Ultrasound (e.g., postgraduate diploma).
• Experience of 12 and/or 20 week scans
• Demonstrated experience in obstetric and gynaecology scanning.
• Certification by professional bodies (e.g., FMF, Society of Radiographers).
