We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Program Manager to lead and manage complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and program management, with proven experience with integration of M&A activity programs and processes, with a demonstrable track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program objectives and align with organizational goals.
- Program Leadership: Oversee the entire program lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Integration Management: Develop and execute comprehensive integration plans across a variety of M&A activity (eg mergers, acquisitions, lift-outs, tuck-in, acquihires etc) to ensure seamless transitions and alignment of business operations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive program success.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure program milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of program activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in program management and integration management.
- Change Management: Implement change management initiatives to support organizational adjustments and cultural integration.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial assessments and valuations to support program decisions and integration strategies.
- Define Integration Playbook: Develop and standardize the organization's integration playbook to be used for all future integration projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor team members on best practices.
Essential Traits
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, integration management, or related fields.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial analysis and valuation skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
