JOB PURPOSE
The Strategy Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving research, data analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making across HYVE Events. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, assessing market dynamics, optimizing marketing performance, and delivering actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
A key part of the role includes:
- Creating high-quality, visually compelling board-level presentations for C-level leadership.
- Leveraging data-driven insights to optimize marketing channels, refine customer segmentation, and enhance event and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research & Market Analysis
- Drive research and analyse industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and risks.
- Conduct qualitative research through client and expert interviews to extract valuable insights that inform strategy and marketing decision-making.
- Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify audience preferences and growth opportunities for events and campaigns.
2. Data Analysis & Insight Generation
- Analyse data from internal and external platforms, interpreting findings to generate actionable insights that drive business and marketing performance.
- Develop and refine customer segmentation models based on demographics, behaviour patterns, and purchasing trends to optimize campaign targeting.
- Forecast trends, demand, and budget allocation to guide resource planning and campaign strategies.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests to improve the performance of marketing content, messaging, creatives, and strategies.
3. Strategic Outputs & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead the creation of board-level presentations that clearly communicate strategic recommendations, marketing insights, and data-driven findings.
- Present key insights to senior stakeholders across Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to inform decision-making.
- Partner with the marketing team to align strategy outputs with campaign goals, ensuring actionable insights drive measurable results.
4. Event Performance & Campaign Insights
- Collect, analyse, and interpret event and marketing performance data across platforms (registration tools, CRMs, digital channels, email, social, and paid media).
- Conduct post-event and post-campaign analysis, combining data and survey insights to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.
- Track and assess the performance of specific marketing channels (digital, social, email, paid media) to provide optimization recommendations and improve ROI.
- Identify audience and campaign trends, including preferences, timing, and messaging, to guide future marketing strategies.
5. Reporting & Tools Management
- Build and manage dashboards and performance reports that clearly communicate results to stakeholders.
- Utilise tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, HubSpot, CRM platforms, and social media tools to track key performance metrics.
- Provide ongoing reporting on SEO, PPC, and other marketing campaign performance to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address business-critical questions and support agile decision-making.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proven experience in strategy, data analysis, or marketing performance analysis roles, ideally within a corporate, events, or marketing environment.
- Strong ability to analyse large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights, particularly for campaign optimization and audience targeting.
- Excellent qualitative research skills, including conducting interviews and synthesising insights.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, CRM systems, Excel).
- Demonstrable ability to build clear, visually compelling PowerPoint decks for senior leadership and marketing audiences.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering outputs to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams.
- 1-2 years of experience in strategy consulting preferred but not required
