The Compliance Specialist will research and appraise client Well (Drilling; Well Engineering) and Seismic databases and repositories to produce complete evaluations and output for specified requirements.
They will be accountable for monitoring the company's compliance with regulatory data obligations to the NSTA, and will have sufficient knowledge and experience to compile relevant information and samples plans in connection with any license events.
With your experience and knowledge of using multiple data sources and repositories you will also be responsible for sourcing and verifying data and information, ensuring provenance and quality control. This will demand strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the offshore energy sector. Our Subsurface Compliance teams are widely respected across our industry and regularly engage and collaborate with the Geoscience community and relevant client representatives.
Requirements
- Working Knowledge and experience of the UK Regulatory Framework inclusive of; (WONS Applications, provision of ISPs and management of data obligations with JV Partners)
- Experience as an Information and Samples Coordinator (ISC), PON_9 Coordinator, Former CDA Council, Licence Coordinator or similar
- Knowledge of Physical storage and digitisation programmes, or transcription
- Working Knowledge of data retention and Corporate Regulatory Requirements
- Desired Experience supporting License Events, or UKCS Licensing Round Applications
- Experience using the NSTA NDR
- Working knowledge of Subsurface data lifecycles
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure, Environmental and Production Regulations and Lifecycles
- Working understanding of Corporate Data Governance
- Some understanding of Business Analysis and Project Management Pathways
- Data Management qualifications or certifications (CPDA, RGU PDM / EDM courses)
