We are a key construction partner to National Highways with a track record of successful scheme delivery.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Kent. Skanska are the National Highways delivery partner for Lower Thames Crossing South – Kent Roads.

The A122 Lower Thames Crossing will connect the A2 and M2 in Kent to the A13 in Thurrock and junction 29 of the M25 in the London Borough of Havering.

It will be approximately 14.3 miles long, with 2.6 miles of this in two tunnels under the Thames – making them the longest road tunnels in the UK.

The Supply Chain Manager will help establish a dynamic and innovative supply chain with National Highways carbon ambitions at the heart of this crucial role to the success of the scheme.

What you'll do:

  • Establish strong supplier relationships through regular and transparent communication.
  • Support operations and preconstruction teams with supply chain expertise.
  • Manage supply chain engagement plans at project and corporate levels.
  • Use performance reviews and business relationship meetings to engage key supply chain partners.
  • Share information across projects to enhance learning and manage supply chain risks.
  • Provide real-time performance data through live dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other functions to meet their objectives and reporting needs with relevant supply chain data.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Enthusiasm and excellent collaboration skills
  • Desire to improve both yourself and the procurement and supply chain tasks you undertake.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of business and supply chain
  • Good bid writing skills
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
