Role Summary
This role will focus on:
The SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) Lead will be a key strategic and operational leader at WMFTS, responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising the SIOP process across the organisation. This role requires a proactive leader with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive business efficiency, align supply chain capabilities with market demands, and ensure effective resource utilisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- SIOP Strategy Development:
Embrace and lead the SIOP process, ensuring alignment with company objectives, customer requirements, and operational capabilities.
Develop short to long term strategies for inventory management, demand planning, and production scheduling to improve service levels and cost efficiency.
Collaborate across WMFTS & Spirax Group as a key member of the WMFTS SIOP SDT (Self Directed Team) and engage with SIOP develop including evaluation and integration of new tools into the business.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to create accurate demand forecasts.
Analyse market trends, historical data, and customer feedback to drive data-driven forecasting decisions.
Create and publish the Master Production Schedule.
- Supply Chain Optimisation:
Partner with supply chain, production, and procurement teams to ensure production plans meet demand requirements efficiently.
Identify and address potential supply chain risks, ensuring continuity and resilience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between operations, sales, finance, and other departments to align business priorities.
Facilitate SIOP meetings, presenting data and insights to drive consensus and decision-making.
- KPI Tracking and Reporting:
Develop and introduce business analytics for increased SC visibility, health and decision making.
Develop, agree and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the SIOP process.
Provide regular reports to the Senor Leadership Team (SLT), highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Deliver training and coaching across the business on the roles and responsibilities within the SIOP process.
Identify opportunities to enhance SIOP processes through technology, tools, and best practices.
Drive initiatives to improve forecast accuracy, reduce lead times, and optimise inventory levels.
You will collaborate with a range of key stakeholders across the organisation, developing open and effective relationships to ensure high performance. Accordingly, building strong relationships with key functions will be key to success, including;
Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality & Compliance, EHS, NPI, SBD, Sustainability & Sales.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
- Be professionally qualified. APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience in fluid technology or a related industry.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strategic thinker with a strong operational focus.
- Results-driven, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and forecasting.
- Advanced in Excel and BI data analytics.
- Proficiency in ERP and SIOP-related tools (e.g. Microsoft AX / D365, SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
