Job Summary
Kiwa CMT is seeking a Technical Administrator to join our Geotechnical department. Based in our Derby office, you’ll provide essential administrative support to the team, this includes assisting with staff scheduling, contract preparation, report and quote production. About The Role
- Setting up new jobs in system, inputting data and transferring to field technicians’ Baseplate systems
- Receiving client enquiries and ensuring that they are dealt with in an efficient manner
- Preparing and sending quotes for Geotechnical related jobs
- Review and manipulation of site data in MS Excel and Word
- Creating and issuing technical test reports for clients
- Day-to-day liaison with staff, clients and suppliers as required
- Answering general telephone and email enquiries from staff and clients
- Maintaining job progress trackers, creating and updating records in our system
- Request customer feedback and other general administration duties
Do you have what it takes?
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Understanding of test results, influencing factors, and ability to record data accurately
- Familiarity with test procedures and the relevance of results for clients (desirable)
- Interest in the geotechnical sector and ability to build awareness of market developments
- Knowledge of good site and laboratory practice
- Ability to liaise effectively with management, staff, and clients
- A reliable, adaptable, and results-driven team player with strong problem-solving skills
What can you expect from us in return?
- £25,389.00 - £27,000 per annum
- Generous Annual Leave - Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
- 38.75 hours per week - Monday to Friday, office based role
