About the Role

As the Agility Coach, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of operational excellence across software engineering and digital delivery teams. Your focus will be on standardising efficient ways of working that align with organisational objectives, and that enhances collaboration, increases efficiency, and drives productivity. Through developing and reinforcing best practices, you will ensure that teams operate with clear, consistent practices to achieve predictable and high-quality outcomes.


As a champion of continuous improvement, the Agility Coach embeds these practices within teams, establishing a sustainable framework that supports both immediate project requirements, continuous improvement and delivery, as well as long-term organisational goals. By implementing and monitoring performance metrics, you provide visibility into team efficiency and effectiveness, enabling leaders to make data-informed decisions and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. Working collaboratively with colleagues in cross-functional teams, and across all levels, you will coach, mentor, and guide them in the adoption of these standards, promoting a resilient, adaptable, and high-performing organisational environment.


About You

Bringing a deep understanding of agile and lean principles, enabling you to guide teams in adopting ways of working that drive efficiency and adaptability with the ability to tailor practices to fit team dynamics and deliver optimal results, whilst being able to anticipate and address challenges proactively, and remove roadblocks. It is expected that you have a strong background in coaching, mentoring and facilitation, to inspire, motivate, and guide colleagues, building confidence and fostering a growth mindset, and embrace best practices.


You can demonstrate excellent communication, articulating complex ideas simply, and encouraging collaboration and have experience in designing and implementing metrics, drawing insights on performance and identifying areas for improvement. You will have the confidence and ability to present actionable insight, that supports leaders and teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.


You will have a proven history of driving operational excellence within delivery or engineering environments and embedding best practices that sustains high performance and supports long-term organisational goals
