Your Mission
This is a 2nd Line risk role, reporting to the Head of Operational and Technology Risk, where stakeholder engagement, knowledge of technology (existing and developing) and an ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced environment will be critical to its success.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating with key stakeholders and their management teams providing support, input and independent oversight of the management of the banks Technology, Data and Security risk and control activities.

Along with the above experience, we expect the prospective candidate to be willing and able to perform the following:
Set Standards
- Providing direction and guidance in the development, implementation, and communication of Technology, Data and Security policies and standards
- Maintain strong relationships with Technology, Data and Security teams and collaborate with them to gain a good understanding of the Technology, Data and Security architecture to provide a view of the risks
- Actively engage in end-to-end risk remediation planning, resolution, and monitoring activities
- Understand Technology, Data and Security Strategies, and be able to articulate and assess the associated risks
Provide Challenge
- Provide challenge across Technology, Data and Security risks enabling business growth while maintaining related risks within appetite
- Oversee controls and associated testing relating to Technology, Data and Security risks, assessing key controls and providing feedback to the respective functions
- Undertake risk reviews of the Technology, Data and Security control frameworks
- Develop, advise and review Technology, Data and Security related RCSA’s
Provide Direction
- Support the oversight of the Bank’s operational resiliency practices for Technology, Data and Security
- Support the regular production of management information and reporting for senior management, executive and board level committees and where required regulatory presentations
- Stay aware of Information Security current affairs, business continuity, data management, security and encryption, and vulnerability analysis and audit
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent working knowledge of control environments with a proven understanding of Technology, Data and Security Risks (including resilience, data integrity, change and associated controls)
- Strong understanding of Technology, Data and Security governance policies and procedures (including existing and emerging technology advancement and the implications of those)
- Good understanding of operational resilience (including Technology aspects and how it impacts on service resilience change, suppliers, incident capacity, and cyber event resilience)
- Experience of 1st, preferably 2nd or 3rd Line roles with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally in a banking/ fintech environment
- Understanding of the 3 Lines Model and how this is implemented at functional and enterprise level, and how to assess its maturity
- Familiarity with agile change methodology principles, and related change management oversight of the test and production environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective and trustworthy working relationships with business stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to be able to articulate complex requirements

Our Hiring Process And What You Can Expect
Application: a member of our talent acquisition team will review your application against the key requirements for the role and let you know within two weeks whether you’re moving forward to the next stage;
Screening: You’ll spend 30-45 minutes speaking to one of our recruiters learning more about the role and ClearBank, and we’ll get it know more about you, your experience and how your skills align with the role (this will be via phone or Teams video call). You can expect to hear back from us within seven days following this meeting (if things are taking longer than expected, we’ll let you know that too);
First Interview: You’ll spend one hour with a member of our hiring team focusing on your skills, competencies and your ways of working at the same time we’ll give you time to ask more questions about the role, the team and learn more about the ClearBank culture. This will be via Teams.
Second Interview: This will be a competency-based interview with one or more members of our team.
Final Stage: You will have a final meeting with the Head of Department. This will be around 45-60 minutes.
