What is the Job?
Our F&B outlets make memories for our guests, be it in breakfast, the intimate lobby bar or 62 seater Pan Asian restaurant. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As Assistant F&B Manager you will play a crucial part in the day-to-day running of the Food and Beverage operations – working as part of the Management Team, making sure the F&B outlets run smoothly. You will make sure you and your team maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations at all times.

About The Role
Your Day to day
People
- Manage day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve team member performance
- Educate and train team members in compliance with local laws and health & safety regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties safely
- Ensure your team are properly trained on systems, security, service and quality standards
- Recommend, initiate and manage any HR actions where needed
Financial
- Help prepare annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
- Monitor budget and control labour costs and expenses with a focus on rate strategy, building initiatives and inventory management
- Monitor all financial functions in the F&B department, resolving issues efficiently
- Develop plans to increase average spend by both internal and external guests
Guest Experience
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences by implementing and monitoring brand standards across all F&B services.
- Make sure all food and beverage facilities and spaces are clean and properly stocked to anticipated business volume.
- Pro-actively seek guest feedback, using it as an opportunity to improve service and tailor offerings to guest preferences.
- Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Always ensure assistant manager/supervisor or senior level staff presence
Responsible Business
- Make sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely - always keep stock replenished to minimize waste
- Ensure all F&B outlets comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations as per standards, including maintaining accurate records.
- Implement sustainability initiatives, such as reducing waste, sourcing locally, and minimizing the use of single-use plastics.
- Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.
Accountability
- Manage team of F&B team members and supervisors
- Hours or work will include mornings, evenings and weekends
- Act as Duty Manager when required

Desired Criteria
- Two years’ experience as a Food & Beverage Manager
- Experience in a branded hotel
Required Criteria
- Minimum one-year food & beverage assistant management / management experience within a hotel environment
- A clear understanding of speaking and understanding English
- Proven experience of leading and managing others
- Strong IT competency
