Salary £26,000 - £28.500 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits
As a Transport Administrator, you will execute the daily fulfilment operations in a safe and efficient manner, maximising the efficiency of both drivers and vehicles in secondary bulk.
Actively participate in adhering to site safety requirements and contribute to transport planning through effective customer master data management.
You will support the Transport Controller in ensuring transport compliance across drivers and the fleet and provide supervisory cover in the absence of the Transport Controller providing key holder and/or emergency contact support. Additionally, you will assist in the management of the site, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and overseeing maintenance procedures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
In Addition
- Contribute towards a positive safety culture within the team and increase safety accountability.
- Support site management in achieving regulatory compliance obligations including health and safety, transport and adherence with internal inventory and procurement processes.
- Liaise with onsite vehicle workshops to ensure compliance with periodic maintenance inspections and MOTs.
- Ensure vehicle compliance checks are carried out in conformance with KPI requirements.
- Liaise with Transport Planning team to ensure the effective routing of all vehicles at their disposal.
- Deal effectively with customer complaints relating to transport activities.
- Timely reporting of all transport related incidents ensuring adherence to the Vehicle Incident and Driver protocol.
- Ensure all loads are reconciled in a timely manner.
- Ensure driver debriefs are reported and master data is updated.
- Monitor all driver noncompliance identified via the telematics software.
- Support a customer centric mindset, delivering excellent customer service in all areas of the bulk business.
- Review outstanding actions on H&S system
Do you have?
- Experience in working within a transport/logistics.
- Knowledge of Driver hours rules and regulations.
- Understanding of vehicle compliance and defective procedures.
- Understanding of occupational Health & Safety related processes.
- Professional attitude and willingness to lead by example and develop and encourage positive team spirit.
- Experience with MS Office and SA.
- Well organised, Clear communicator with good communication skills.
- Strong safety and compliance focus.
- Incident Controller trained.
- COSHH trained.
- Risk Assessment trained.
- IOSH Trained.
