Make an Impact within our VAT team at RSM UK
Our VAT specialists work closely with teams across the firm to provide a collaborative service to a diverse range of clients, from middle market businesses to large corporations, combining expertise in accounting, audit and all relevant taxes. As a national VAT practice, we provide the freedom to find the right balance between sector specialism and general advisory, as well as an opportunity to initiate and develop new areas of focus for the team,
Joining out team as a VAT Associate Director in either our Reading, Gatwick or Southampton office, you will discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. You’ll make an impact by:
- Acting as an expert advisor, identifying and advising on VAT planning opportunities and undertaking specialist technical assignments when required
- Playing an active role in business development, proposals and networking events and making a significant contribution to the overall future development and success of not only your regional office, but the wider firm
- Developing and supporting a growing team, being a mentor and sharing your skillset and knowledge
- Taking on a variety of projects that will challenge you every day, helping you expand your capabilities and grow professionally
- Being part of a team that values your insights and contributions, providing an opportunity for you to use your experience to develop members of the team, fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and innovation
What we are looking for:

- Specialist in VAT, ideally with experience working at a similar level as Senior Manager or Associate Director, strong Managers looking for their next step in career will also be considered
- Open and approachable, taking the time to listen to views and ideas of others
- Passion for business development and ability to identify potential fee-earning opportunities
- Embody our grow our own principal, with an ambition to coach, lead, develop and manage a team
