Our Client, a global alternatives investment manager, is looking for an experienced governance professional to take on a VP level role in their EMEA Counsel team.
The ideal candidate will have c. 10 years of experience in corporate governance within Tier 1 financial services.
In-house Company Secretary expertise will be essential for this position. An asset management background is likewise mandatory, with international exposure highly desirable.
There is a strong preference for a legally trained candidate, but being a practicing solicitor is not mandatory, though highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating transaction processes, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders on onboarding, structuring, entity formations, and documentation.
- Organising and attending meetings, preparing minutes, and drafting resolutions.
- Monitoring legislation and regulations and advising on relevant compliance matters
- Managing relationships with external service providers, both onshore and offshore.
- Supporting document execution tasks
- Assisting with corporate changes related to acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and restructurings.
Requirements:
- C. 10 years of legal or company secretary experience, ideally within the asset management space.
- Qualified Chartered Secretary or Qualified Solicitor
- Strong Asset Management experience
