You will be working across the picture desk with a special focus on video clipping, uploading, and SEO tagging. You’ll also play a key role in both print and digital picture research, ensuring our visual content is on point and compliant across newsletters, websites, and social media.
Key responsibilities include:
- Image & Video Management: Under the direction of the Photo Director, ensure images for Best, Inside Soap, and Digital Spy flow efficiently through the production system, meeting both print and digital deadlines.
- Soap Content Specialist: Work closely with the Inside Soap editor and Digital Spy Soap lead to find and curate the perfect images for Soap-related content across titles.
- Newsletter & Social Media Support: Source relevant pictures for newsletters, online, and social media content across the Entertainment Portfolio, assisting with image research and building newsletters in SailThru.
- Accuracy & Compliance: Meticulously check image tagging and details to ensure the highest standards of accuracy, while adhering to legal and copyright requirements.
- Video Clipping & Uploading: Clip, rip, and edit videos, uploading them to Hearst CMS and social media platforms, following SEO best practices.
- Library Maintenance: Help maintain and tag video footage for the Hearst library, and keep the Inside Soap image library up to date.

About You
- Experience on a consumer title.
- Knowledge of best, Inside Soap and Digital Spy & the
- Readerships is a plus.
- Experience using Censhare, InDesign and CMS is desirable.
- Experience clipping and uploading video.
- Experience SEO tagging.
- Experience building and sending newsletters is desirable.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Meticulous and organised.
- Calm under pressure.
- Capable of juggling several tasks at once.
