Linde Material Handling are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their friendly Basingstoke depot, to help contribute to the efficient overall operation of the Workshop function, working closely with Hire, Service and Sales.
Main Duties
This depot prepares the new forklift trucks that come from the factory, ready to be sent around the UK. You will be involved with all pre-delivery inspections, repairing and maintaining of the trucks, fitting of 3rd party items and attachments, and interrogating the trucks.
You will ensure all necessary paperwork, documents and date are input accurately and within SLA, order any necessary spare parts, and liaise with all of the necessary departments. i.e. hire, sales and service, to ensure that appropriate feedback is given with regards to progress of work.
You will be comfortable working alone, using initiative, as well as working effectively as part of a team, as well as comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations, including on customer and supplier sites.
You must also be willing to take on any additional duties as directed by the Manager to ensure smooth running of the department.
