This work insight is based in our Alton, Hampshire, office and is open to those that have just finished Year 11, 12 and 13.

Please Note This Work Experience Is Unpaid.

Who are you and what will you be doing here?

During your 4-day work insight, you will work with other Insight students to learn all about the various roles that are vital in creating a satellite. You will get to have a tour of our labs here in Alton and speak to various team members about what they do including the Head of the Space Business Unit.

Working in small teams, you will get involved in various mini projects, enabling you to put the things you have learnt into practice in a fun and engaging way. There will also be talks from the industry and daily reviews to help capture all that you have learnt with us.

The Insight Programme is perfect for individuals with a passion for the space and technology who want to understand what it might be like to work in the industry.

What are we looking for?

  • A passion for the space industry, and/ or technology, and/or engineering
  • Studying, or studied subjects, that are technology/ science based
  • Problem solving skills

  • Experience of working with numbers
